About Sri Hartamas

Sri Hartamas is one of the fastest growing townships in around the Klang Valley of Malaysia over the past recent years. Fast developing into one of the main areas for dining and entertainment, Sri Hartamas has since its early inception become the prime real estate areas of the country. Its property value have since appreciated many folds since the early days when there were very minimal access to the township. Due to its strategic location, Sri Hartamas has since become the major spot for many people around the city to come and have a great night out or to hang out with friends and families.

Sri Hartamas is placed under the jurisdiction and coverage of the Kuala Lumpur City Hall and is located strategically between Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya, another major suburb of the Klang Valley. To say the least, it is located close by with many other townships like Damansara as well as a connected expressway towards Puchong. It has all the elements and ingredients of a town by itself, making it self sufficient, providing the needs and wants for its residents in and around the area.

The township is highly accessible due to its location and you can pretty much get here through the New Klang Valley Expressway, the Damansara-Puchong Expressway and the Penchala Link all of which connects you from various parts of the surrounding suburbs. On top of that, Sri Hartamas is located minutes from the town center and incredibly close with Bangsar another well known popular township nearby hence, getting to Sri Hartamas is easy, convenient and very fast, often requiring very minimal traveling time.

Origins

The origins of Sri Hartamas can be traced back to the mid-1990s when the property development industry was booming and was reaching its peak in Klang Valley. Before that, there were minimal roads leading to this township which saw low uptake of property ownership here. For those home owners who settled here before then, it was highly inconvenient where they have to drive out to nearby towns like Bangsar or Petaling Jaya to buy daily needs. As demand for property grew, so did the spin off to transportation infrastructure which eventually came abundantly to Sri Hartamas.

From the roads and expressways, then came more and more development and then came the people. This sort of demand will continue to spin off to higher property prices which eventually led to newer areas surrounding Sri Hartamas which included Mont Kiara and the areas leading out to Kepong. The people who bought homes here at Sri Hartamas and Mont Kiara began multiplying and before long, it became one of the premier property areas of Klang Valley, sky rocketing and becoming almost not affordable for some. Most people who stay in Sri Hartamas are from the higher income group which explains why some of the food and items sold here might be slightly more expensive if compared to other parts of the Klang Valley. Over at Mont Kiara, there are a huge community of expatriates who stay in the high rise apartments and elegant condominiums.
